Pinwheel Pastry Treats

This recipe was given to me by my lovely friend Tammy at my kitchen tea. It is so simple and delicious! We're going to a cheese and wine evening tonight and these are just the perfect snacks to take along:)

Ingredients:
1 x roll of puff pastry
Bovril/Martmite (your preference)
Cheese

Method:
1) heat oven to 200 degrees C.
2) defrost puff pastry before hand and then unroll and lay flat on a surface.

3) spread Bovril/Marmite all over one side of the puff pastry so it covers the whole roll.

4) sprinkle with grated cheese.

5) roll pastry into a log so that the side without the toppings is showing- make sure that it is tightly rolled.
6) slice into thin slices (about 2cm) and lay slices on baking tray already sprayed with Spray and Cook.

7) Bake for about 20-25 mins or until pastry is golden and cheese is melted.

Now That's a Bad Sweater

Last night we celebrated Lauren's birthday in bad-sweatered glory. Here's some pictures of what people pitched up in- good sport everyone!

You, Me and Everyone We Know Market

Beneath bunting and balloons, this is where vintage dreams are made.

A Night Out In Town

Cape Town displayed some of its creative talent on Kloof Street last night and we were there to soak it all in:)
The launch of Margot Molyneux's stunning winter range and Dear Rae's lovely jewelry range was happening at The Fringe Arts new store at 99B Kloof Street. They had a tasty spread laid out with cheeses, wine, bread, hummus, pesto and more for us to snack on while we admired the beautiful works on display.

Then there was also the Paper is You group exhibition just down the road which also showcased some local talent.
